The Yurok Tribe
Watershed Restoration Department is currently seeking interested parties
to instruct ten individuals (selected by the department) to perform all pertinent
activities associated with watershed restoration work.
Interested
parties should be prepared to instruct in a minimum of the following
fields:
v Site Identification
v Geomorphic Mapping
v Pre and Post Excavation Volume Surveys
v Equipment operations within steep and uneven
topography.
Interested parties should also be prepared to work closely with
department staff to develop curriculum, and through out the duration of this
program as co-trainers.
Duration and
Compensation:
This program will start approximately June 2nd, 2008
and it will become weather dependant after Oct. 15th. The services needed for the training element
of this project will be approximately 22 weeks.
It is preferred that the solicited services would start mid May to help
refine current, and develop new curriculum before the start of the
program. The total award of this
contract would not exceed $38,250.00
Minimum
Qualifications:
10+ years of successful watershed restoration contracting, with a
strong emphasis on road removal.
Valid Class A contractor’s license
Valid California driver license

Job Duties: Building Maintenance Worker (Correctional
